Bullous pemphigoid

There is a new trial ("BLISTER") to look at the acute treatment of bullous pemphigoid.

Dr English asks that if we see patients whom we suspect of having this disease, we should not prescribe oral treatments (steroids or antibiotic) but ring his secretary to arrange an urgent outpatient appointment. We may prescribe topical steroids for symptom relief.
