"Drop in" chest X-rays
With effect from 1st May 2013, patients do not need to make appointments for chest X-rays.
The Radiology departments at the City Hospital and Queen's Medical Centre will offer a "drop in" service between 08.30 and 16.30.
Patients should be advised to wait until at least 24 hours after the electronic referral has been made (via. GP Access).
We are also reminded that they will not do CXRs for suspected broken ribs as this is a clinical diagnosis and X-rays do not alter management.
