Trifluoperazine shortage

There is currently a supply problem with trifluoperazine. Until it is resolved, the mental health team have suggested the following alternatives to trifluoperazine 5mg daily.

• chlorpromazine 100mg daily (but more sedating)
• haloperidol 3mg daily
• flupentixol 3mg daily
